P.Noy eats his words and recognises Corona as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

So much for big words coming from The Man of a Thousand Gaffes. President Benigno "P.Noy" Aquino III eats his words yet again as he goes on record to categorically recognise Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona. The Inquirer.net reports on this day, the 4th of August 2010 (my boldface for emphasis)...
De Mesa was asked if President Aquino was recognizing the validity of Corona’s appointment as Chief Justice.

"That should be obvious by now," De Mesa said.

"The President has acknowledged Chief Justice Corona as Chief Justice," he added.

Rewind six months back.

This is Aquino flapping his trap on the 14th January 2010 (my boldface for emphasis)...
"If elected President, I will not recognize a Chief Justice appointed by the outgoing President [Gloria Arroyo], contrary to the constitutional ban on appointments during the wee hours of her presidency, and contrary to propriety and delicadeza and long standing precedence of prohibition against appointments two months before the outgoing President’s term expires," Aquino said in a statement sent to the Inquirer via text message by LP campaign manager Florencio Abad.

"Let me forewarn any member of the Supreme Court, who shall accept to be Chief Justice by appointment of the outgoing President, that not only shall he not be recognized, but he risks even his presence in the Court as an associate member," Aquino added.

In the case of the President, the size of the words is inversely proportional to the size of the stature.

Carry on, Chief.

  2. Senator Drillon is the architect of Pnoy's presidency, whom he fought other Liberal Party stalwarts to get his head through because he was capitalizing on the Pilipino's emotions which was hyped up out of proportion by media of cory's death, (likened to ninoy's that propelled cory to presidency)a repeat, a replay scenario.
So to tame this insane government, let's not vote all LP candidates and its affiliate political partys, so not to give this government majority in both houses of congress down to LGUs.
